Trump Argues Case For 'World's Greatest Golf Course'

Property mogul Donald Trump has urged Scottish officials to grant him permission to build a $2 billion (?1 billion) golf resort in Aberdeen, insisting failing to do so would be a "terrible blow" to the country. The American tycoon is currently in the Scottish city to argue his case for the project to be given the greenlight after coming up against opposition from environmental protestors. The campaigners claim Trump's luxury 18-hole golf course - which will include a 450-room five star hotel, 900 vacation homes, and 500 luxury homes costing up to $2 million (?1 million) each - on the north-east coast of Scotland will cause significant damage to the environment But Trump denies this is the case. A public inquiry into the ambitious project began on Tuesday at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (Aecc), where Trump told the ministers: "People won't play a course if it is environmentally harmful. They don't like it, they don't feel good about it, and they won't play it." When confronted by claims the plans are not popular with locals, Trump responded: "I see polls showing 93 per cent in favour. You can say what you want, but this is a very popular project..." Trump went on to claim the resort would be "the world's greatest golf course". He added: "If you reject this, there will be a terrible blow to Scotland." Trump needs to secure the approval of Scottish Government ministers and win over the public if he is to secure the planning permission for the golf resort.

Paris Hilton - Hilton Defends Her Breasts

Socialite PARIS HILTON has defended her small breasts - insisting she likes them just the way they are.

The 27-year-old has vowed never to undergo breast enlargement surgery as she doesn't like the appearance of a larger bust.

She tells New York magazine, "I like how mine are, I don't like big boobs."

And Hilton uses pop star/actress Jessica Simpson as an example - declaring the singer's more prominent chest to be unattractive.

She adds, "I think they're too... big."

The Wedding Director

For forty years Marco Bellocchio has been the Italian cinema?s reigning iconoclast, aiming his barbed skepticism at such sacred cows as the family (Fists in the Pocket), the church (My Mother?s Smile), and the political left (China Is Near). In The Wedding Director, he peers into the looking-glass to produce a self-reflexive satire of the world of filmmaking.

Sergio Castellitto (Don?t Move, Mostly Martha) plays Franco Elica, a dissolute movie director who slides into despair after being asked - to his horror - to make yet another version of Alessandro Manzoni's The Betrothed. Complicating matters is news that a looming sexual-harassment scandal is about to break.

Rachael Bilson: No O.C. Movie Planned

As hit TV show-turned-movie 'Sex and the City' continues to drum up big box office dollars worldwide, rumors have circulated that a big screen version of 'The O.C.' is in the works - but reports are not true, says Rachael Bilson, who played Summer on the cult show.

Talking to moviefone.com, Bilson shuts down the stories saying, "No I had somebody else ask me that because of 'Sex and the City' the movie, but I was like, 'No.'  I'd watch 'Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Movie' though."

Bilson starred on the hit show alongside Mischa Barton and Adam Brody during it's four-season run.

Renowned Blues Guitarist Buddy Guy Set to Release New Album 'Skin Deep' on July 22nd

Buddy Guy to Receive First Annual Great Performer of Illinois Award On July
20th

NEW YORK, June 10 -- Silvertone/Zomba recording artist and
five time Grammy winner, Buddy Guy, will release a new album titled, Skin
Deep on July 22nd. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has created an
album of all original material and enlisted fellow guitar luminaries Eric
Clapton, Robert Randolph, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks on his 10th
Silvertone/Zomba studio release. The lead single, Skin Deep, impacts at AAA
radio on July 14th.

Elaborating on his inspiration for the album title and song Skin Deep,
Guy touches upon a powerful series of personal memories and observations on
the ways in which "underneath" we're all the same. "I used to play with
this boy, ride horses, down close to where I was born," he says. "Then when
we were 13, his parents made us stop. They used to say you had black blood
or white blood, but we'd get a flashlight and hold it up to our skin and
we'd just see red blood. That's what I mean by 'Skin Deep.'"

In a career spanning more than 45 years, Buddy Guy continues to add on
to his ever-growing legendary career. At the age of 72, he graced the cover
of Rolling Stone, as part of the magazine's recent "100 Greatest Guitar
Songs" issue (his cataclysmic 1961 recording of "Stone Crazy" made the
list) and turned in a show-stopping performance in Martin Scorsese's
Rolling Stones concert film, Shine A Light. Guy has won five Grammy Awards,
23 W.C. Handy Awards (the most any one blues artist has received), a
Congressional Medal of Arts and Billboard Magazine's prestigious The
Century Award for "distinguished artistic achievement." In 2005 Buddy Guy
was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by friends Eric Clapton and
BB King.

Buddy Guy has been selected to receive the first annual Great Performer
of Illinois Award and will be honored at a special tribute concert on July
20th in Millennium Park for his outstanding contributions to popular music
and American culture. Currently, Buddy Guy is on a world-wide tour, with
U.S. dates beginning on July 23rd in Silverton, OR with George Thorogood &
The Destroyers.

50 Cent accused of murder attempt

London (ANI): American rapper Curtis James Jackson III or 50 Cent as he is known, has been accused by his ex-girlfriend of trying to kill her and his own son. Shaniqua Tompkins said that the singer tried to kill them in a fire, which had burned his mansion to the ground. "He tried to kill me and his own child," the Sun quoted a tearful Tompkins as saying. The 31-year-old and her 10-year-old son Marquise were at the 1.2million pounds home in Dix Hills, New York State, when it erupted in flames on Friday, May 30. Tompkins accused Jackson as being responsible for the fire, as they had had a big fight about the house a few days before the fire. He had been trying to get her evicted.

Edith Bowman reveals pregnancy danger

Pregnant DJ Edith Bowman has revealed that giving birth could put her life at risk, because she is suffering from a serious heart defect.
The 33-year-old star, who is five months pregnant with her first baby, told the Evening Standard that she has a bicuspid aortic valve, which increases her chances of dying in childbirth.
The DJ said that she will require a Caesarean section and that doctors must monitor her closely throughout her pregnancy.
Bowman said: "We get to find out the baby's sex later this month but I'm like, 'there are really more important things to worry about right now than the colour of baby clothes'."
"Basically I need these extra scans early in the pregnancy and I'll have to have a Caesarean because no-one - including my heart specialist - sees the point in putting my heart through unnecessary stress."
Bowman was diagnosed with the condition in summer 2004 after suffering palpitations and tiredness while working at the Glastonbury Festival.
She said: "It was shocking, obviously. But once you get your head around it, you realise there's nothing you can do except try and get on with life."
"I was told that the greatest risk is deterioration and that I may need a valve transplant later on, which is scary. But for now, it seems fine."
